About Us

Founded in 2001, Agnew Equine has built an outstanding reputation for care and treatment thanks to its dedicated equine veterinary team

We look after a wide client base including international competition horses, racehorses, polo ponies, riding club, family ponies and donkeys.  We understand all are much-loved and cared for by their owners and we aim to provide a friendly and compassionate service whilst striving for the highest level of quality, trustworthy veterinary care.  We remain an independently-owned veterinary practice in a time where many are being bought out by national or global corporations, and we are proud to answer only to our clients and what is best for them – not to shareholders.

All Agnew Equine staff know, understand and love horses - from our reception team to the vets – thus creating a caring, knowledgeable and professional service providing you and your horse with the dedicated care they deserve. Our vets have developed their careers to solely looking after horses and ponies so day or night, 365 days of the year, and you can be assured of the extra level of expertise and support this provides.

Agnew Equine serves clients across Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire from our centrally-located office based in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Our mission remains, as the practice was founded on, to provide a high level of veterinary care to horses and ponies at their home stables and therefore minimising any inconvenience and the need to transport your horse.

Our administrative and support team are here to help you and are available 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday to book appointments and deal with all enquires.  We have vets on call out of office hours at all times – and can be reached on the practice number 01782 510502.
