Founding partner Arnie Agnew has been an equine veterinary surgeon in the area since 1990. He is very experienced in all aspects of equine veterinary medicine. Arnie combines work with family life and the breeding of competition horses.

A partner since 2005 Robin Densem has been a horse vet since 1997. He joined the practice from a large equine hospital in Gloucestershire where he worked for five years. Robin has a lifelong association with horses and is particularly interested in equine medicine.

Claire Gandy joined us in March 2010, having been a senior vet at a Greater Manchester equine practice for 4 years. Claire is interested in all aspects of equine veterinary medicine and has settled really well into the Agnew Equine team. Claire and Lee were married in May this year and are relocating to Macclesfield in the near future.

Caroline Bramhall came to us from an equine hospital in Scotland where she developed a particular interest in equine dentistry, an area she is keen to pursue with Agnew Equine. Caroline is a local girl and hopes to move into her new house in Macclesfield before Christmas. Caroline competes her horse 'Spider', whenever time allows.

Sian Akhurst graduated from Glasgow University in 2009 and spent 6 months travelling, including volunteering as a vet at the Fiji SPCA. She then completed a 12 month internship at the Royal Veterinary College in Equine medicine, surgery and anaesthesia, before working at a couple of equine practices in Hertfordshire.

Sian's main interests are: equine medicine, especially neonatal critical care and investigating problems including colic and respiratory disease, she also really enjoys anaesthesia and all other aspects of equine work.
